AssetCo announces new technical rescue training centre facility

The Canoe Slalom Trust and Nene Whitewater Centre have joined AssetCo plc in a new partnership to maximise its potential to deliver a centre of excellence for Fire & Rescue training. Under the agreement Nene will become the Group's technical rescue training centre which will be operated under exclusive license by AssetCo's Emergency Resources Division.

The centre will offer a broad programme of technical rescue training to all Fire and Rescue Services, other blue light services, and the essential utility providers highlighted in Sir Michael Pitt's recently published review of the widespread flooding in 2007. Training will be managed by Jez Hunter, AssetCo’s internationally accredited trainer and founder of RIG Systems.
