Communities
AssetCo Fire and Rescue strives to help local and international organisations, charities, foundations and communities. We are particularly dedicated to the communities in which we work and have provided support to a number of worthy charitable causes.
As an International Fire and Rescue Services provider, we are committed to supporting the fire and rescue services’ and emergency services’ communities. We believe in creating positive links with the communities in which we operate and keeping our client’s values at heart.
In the UK, we give our highest respect and deepest support to the Firefighters Charity and the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) to help fund the work they do for our local and international communities, firefighers and service men and women.
In the Middle East, we are proud to support the Zayed Higher Organisation (ZHO) and Abu Dhabi University Knowledge Group (ADUKG) to help improve local communities and the welfare, training and recruitment of firefighters.
Support for Firefighters
AssetCo Fire and Rescue supports the Firefighters Charity which helps UK Fire and Rescue Services, providing therapy and rehabilitation, recuperation and support. The Firefighters Charity has ambitions to further develop their rehabilitative services, addressing some of the psychological issues faced by their beneficiaries following serious injury or trauma.
The support we give to the Firefighters Charity also helps develop their scheme for beneficiaries and members of the public who have serious burns injuries. They work in consultation with burns units, as well as national and international specialist burns organisations in the hope of providing rehabilitative services, to help survivors in the aftermath of such terrible injury.
Support for Service Men and Women
AssetCo Fire and Rescue provides sponsorship to the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) for the lifetime support they offer serving and retired soldiers and their families. For over 65 years, the ABF has been providing financial assistance to all soldiers and their families when in need.
There has been a 30% rise over the past few years in soldiers, former soldiers and their dependents seeking help from ABF and this is due to increase. The scope and scale of their work is vast and they currently help over 4,000 people a year; helping individuals directly as well as working through the Regimental and Corp Associations.
Helping People with Special Needs
AssetCo Fire and Rescue is pleased to support Zayed Higher Organisation (ZHO) for Humanitarian Care and People with Special Needs in their annual programmes to promote the integration of Emiratis with special needs into all aspects of community life.
This support relationship will see AssetCo Fire and Rescue provide fire safety expertise and advice to ZHO as well as provide volunteers to be involved in the various inclusive activities that ZHO runs while forming a joint committee to work together to initiate an annual development plan.
Support for the Fire and Rescue Service
AssetCo Fire and Rescue is pleased to support Abu Dhabi University Knowledge Group (ADUKG), the professional training and development arm of Abu Dhabi University (ADU). Together, we strive to meet the challenges facing recruitment, assessment and training of new firefighters in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
We aim to achieve National and International accreditation with associated recognised qualifications to equip emergency services personnel with executive and vocational experience in the field.
Together with ADUKG, we aim to develop an integrated approach on emergency and disaster planning and to cooperate in support of other national initiatives in the field of Fire and Rescue Service provision.
